Aspire Kitchens: Case Studies

Complete New Kitchen for Rental Flat in Richmond

Derek Cleveland’s Richmond Hill flat was undergoing a full refurbishment in preparation for renting out to tenants. We were asked to handle the entire project, which included the fitting of a new kitchen.

Working to a set budget, we sourced a complete new kitchen to suit the flat’s new style; being for rental it had to be neutral and practical. From units and worktops to appliances and tiles, and all the finishing touches, we made sure we selected the best of everything possible within the available budget.

We started with the complete removal of the existing kitchen. A new ceiling went in and walls were re-rendered for a paint-ready finish. We specifically opted for kitchen units and worktops that would offer long lasting durability, and we carefully selected a complete set of user friendly, energy efficient appliances. The entire kitchen was designed with maximum practicality and ease of use in mind.

Derek said: “The fact that I could trust Ben and his team to totally manage the whole project without me having to spend any time worrying or coordinating anything was really what made all the difference to me. They stayed within the budget and the results were beyond what I expected. Good job well done, and I’ll be using them again for any future projects.”

What we did:

  • Kitchen design and planning
  • Unit and appliance sourcing
  • Kitchen fitting
  • Plumbing & electrics
  • Appliance installation
  • New ceiling
  • Rendering
  • Tiling

A Full Kitchen Refurbishment … with a Little Extra Help

Herita needed inspiration and direction with her kitchen refurbishment so she asked us to guide her step by step through the project. We started by accompanying her to select her kitchen units and worktops, providing advice on practicality, durability and innovative ways to get the most out of the available space.

We helped her select her wall and floor tiles, and a complete set of new appliances. Herita opted for granite worktops for a truly stunning finish. But before we could start fitting her newly selected kitchen, there was work to be done.

The flooring in the kitchen was rotten and all of it had to come out. After treating it to avoid future problems, we laid a brand new floor and finished it with eye-catching tiling. We squared off an arch and moved a door frame, all in preparation for the new kitchen. And when we’d finished the installation, we completed with full decoration and tiling.

What we did:

  • Full kitchen planning and selection service
  • Kitchen and granite fitting
  • Floor replacement and tiling
  • Building & rendering works
  • Plumbing & electrics
  • Appliance installation
  • Decorating & tiling

Herita said: “I was totally lost at the beginning, I really didn’t know where to start. Ben’s help was totally invaluable; I’m not sure many builders would take you shopping for a kitchen! He knew so much and has great taste too. I am absolutely thrilled with my kitchen, and the rest of the house, and it’s all thanks to Ben and his team who were all such nice people. Even when they realised the problem with the floor, they just got on with it. Very impressed and happy to recommend them.”
